WCPSA
(Wisconsin Child Passenger Safety Advocates)
Mission Statement:
A
partnership for child passenger safety injury prevention &
education
Who We Are
Wisconsin Child Passenger Safety Association is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to preventing child
passenger unintentional injury. It focuses on one specific
problem: more children die or are injured
from crashes than any other cause.
The organization was founded in the mid 1970’s
What We Do
* Create an awareness to protect our children by
encouraging safe transportation
* Work with local, state & federal agencies to
strengthen child restraint & safety seat laws
* Provide continuing education & support for
child passenger safety technicians
* Educate both professionals & families
* Promote & provide community resources and a
communication network
How We Do
It
WCPSA depends on the support of grass roots networks to
implement safety programs throughout the
state. These grass roots networks work closely with law
enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics,
health and safety experts, professionals, educators,
parents, businesses, foundations, governments,
policymakers, volunteers, and most importantly, children to
educate and protect families. WCPSA members
meet annually with the executive board. The meeting
provides networking of CPS technicians, encourages
public education programs, & facilitate efforts which
enforce laws and regulations improving child passenger
safety.
